I love milestone sessions, especially when they include cake! I mean, who wouldn’t? So, I’m sharing some images from a recent one year old milestone session at the studio. All of my milestone sessions include both baby-only images as well as images of the full family for a gallery full of beautiful imagery to celebrate the special milestone, whether that be 6 months or one year.

This little guy turns one in August, so we chose to schedule his one year old milestone session in July so mom could have the photos back in time for his birthday. Mom picked out a perfect blue textured romper for him to match his beautiful blue eyes. It really made them pop! While not yet walking independently, he was happiest when he was pushing the furniture around. But, he would get upset when he hit a dead end and couldn’t push any more. Don’t worry – Mom, Dad and big sis joined in on the fun for some family combination shots. It can sometimes get really hectic when young siblings join the sessions because, of course, they want to be included as well. That’s why is so important to hire an experienced Atlanta family photographer for your sessions. Patience, a friendly demeanor and experience are key!

Mom wore a dress from my client closet (a favorite from Lait Collection) and did a great job coordinating everyone else’s outfits. We texted and brainstormed what would look best. I’m so happy to consult on outfits with all of my clients! Outfits can have such a big impact on the look of the final images.
